More rain on the way and weekend changes as well
NEW ORLEANS — The weather pattern is going be changing very little over the next couple of days, so the forecast will be changing very little as well. A stationary front remains to our north, and moisture will ride that front and we will see scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms developing, especially in the late morning and afternoon. Some of the storms could produce some pockets of heavy rain, and some locations and cities could pick up anywhere from half an inch to three-quarters of an inch of rain. The stationary front will move very little through Wednesday, so it will be very much on the west side through midweek. High pressure will begin to build in by Thursday and Friday, so our forecast begins to get a bit drier. With drier weather, we will have more sunshine, and temperatures will return to the low 90s by the end of the week and the weekend.
