    LCSD1 approves 'name preference' change to parental rights in education policy

    CHEYENNE – The Laramie County School District 1 Board of Trustees on Monday approved the addition of a sixth instance in which parents would be notified of changes about their child.

    The sixth item, introduced during the board's monthly meeting, would notify parents of a change if “it involves a request by the student to be called by a name different from the name or nickname field approved by the parent in the District’s Student Information System.”
