‘He was everything’: Wife of Lon Hagler Reservoir drowning victim shares who he was
Isabella Lopez described her husband, Uriel Rodriguez-Lopez, as the backbone of the family. “He was funny, he was courageous, he was everything,” Lopez said. The Larimer County Coroner’s Office officially identified Rodriguez-Lopez as the man whose body was found by search crews in Lon Hagler Reservoir after a full-day search last week. The 24-year-old Fort Collins man died by drowning, according to the Monday release from the coroner’s office; the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office reported last week that a personal flotation device, or PFD, was not found with him when his body was recovered.
Loveland Man Accused Of Trying To Run Over Sheriff’s Deputies
Attempted murder charges face a Loveland man who allegedly tried to run over Larimer County Sheriff’s Office deputies. On Friday, deputies were tracking down 43-year-old Jason Beezley, wanted on outstanding warrants, in the 2400 block of East Ninth Street in Loveland. The Loveland Reporter Herald reports Beezley allegedly refused to cooperate with law enforcement and tried to leave in his truck. A passenger in his vehicle was outside it at the time and Beezley allegedly ran over the man’s leg before driving recklessly toward seven LCSO deputies. Deputies got Beezley pulled over and arrested him, transporting him to the the Larimer County Jail.
