(COLORADO) — The Colorado Renaissance Festival and Artisan’s Marketplace is back for its 47th season starting Saturday, June 15 in Larkspur.

The festival brings the 16th century back to life with its Medieval Amusement Park. Individuals are welcome to dress in costume, and all swords and daggers are permitted as long as they are properly sheathed and peace-tied.

Event-goers must also sport a shirt and shoes, and full face masks are not allowed.

All outside food and beverages other than factory-sealed bottled water are not allowed, however, event-goers can indulge in turkey legs, steak on a stake, fresh baked goods, and more at the festival for cash only.

Families may also enjoy Children’s Weekend on Saturday, July 6, and Sunday, July 7. All children under the age of 12 are free that weekend.

Tickets can be purchased online and children under five are free. Parking is free.

The festival will be open on Saturdays and Sundays (rain or shine) until Sunday, Aug. 4 at 650 Perry Park Avenue.
