No surprises as Broncos put three players on PUP list
The Denver Broncos placed three players on the physically-unable-to-perform list in advance of training camp Sunday, and none of them were a surprise. None of the three players took part in on-field OTAs or minicamp. Sanders is expected to be out until midseason after tearing his Achilles during an April workout. Sterns missed the final 16 games of last season due to a torn patellar tendon suffered in Week 1. Turner-Yell suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in Week 17 last year, and the relatively late date of that injury in the season could keep him on the sideline into the regular season.

Broncos’ run defense will get a boost from two new additions in 2024
The Denver Broncos allowed an average of 137.1 rushing yards per game to opposing offenses last year, representing the third-worst average in the NFL. At least part of the blame fell on the team’s defensive line, and coach Sean Payton and general manager George Paton set out to make changes this spring. Denver allowed defensive lineman Jonathan Harris to walk during free agency and the team has not re-signed Mike Purcell. To replace them, the Broncos signed Malcolm Roach and then acquired John Franklin-Myers in a trade with the New York Jets. “Last year with the rush defense, it wasn’t every game,...

Denver saw an early 23-point lead dissolve in the final minutes. Then, Alexander scored or assisted 10 of Denver’s final 16 points.
