Plane makes emergency landing at Centennial Airport
A small plane made an emergency landing at Centennial Airport on Saturday, according to South Metro Fire Rescue. The Commander twin prop plane had just taken off Runway 35L at Centennial Airport but declared an emergency. The aircraft reported an engine failure and returned for an emergency landing. South Metro Fire Rescue and the Centennial Airport responded to the incident. Two adults were on board the plane. One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Denver Man Charged with Attempted First-Degree Murder in Assault on Elderly Mother
A Denver man has been taken into custody for the alleged assault on his mother, which has since escalated to a charge of attempted first-degree murder. Lynard Edward Hunter, 58, called 911 on Friday night to report that he had attacked his 77-year-old mother at their North Little Egypt Road residence, as confirmed by authorities. According to a statement obtained by WSOC-TV, it was Hunter himself who informed the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office of the incident, leading to his arrest on the scene.
