Longtime NBA reporter Adrian Wojnarowski has announced some shocking career news.

Wojnarowski announced in a statement on Wednesday that he is retiring from ESPN and the news industry. The 55-year-old said he understands the commitment that is required to remain at the top of his field and called it “an investment that I’m no longer driven to make.”

Though he is leaving the news industry after more than three decades, Wojnarowski will continue to work. He has taken a job as the general manager of the men’s basketball program at St. Bonaventure University, which is his alma mater.

Woj will assist the program with NIL allocation and recruiting in addition to supporting head coach Mark Schmidt.

Wojnarowski began his reporting career with the Hartford Courant as a high school senior. He worked for several other publications before joining Yahoo Sports in 2007. Woj worked for Yahoo for 10 years and became arguably the most connected reporter in the NBA during that time. ESPN signed him to a massive contract in 2017.

The “Woj Bomb” era has officially come to an end.
