Miami Hurricanes alum Michael Irvin attended the team’s 38-34 win over Virginia Tech at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. on Friday night, and the “Playmaker” brought his typical enthusiasm.

Irvin, who starred for Miami from 1985-1987, was on Miami’s sideline for the game and hyping up the team. He was shown by ESPN giving the team a big pep talk on the sideline.

    He helped up Xavier Restrepo:

And he encouraged Isaiah Horton following a touchdown catch to put the ‘Canes up for good in the final two minutes.

Irvin has always been a high-energy guy, and that enthusiasm has not waned even at age 58.

Irvin was a three-time All-American selection in college and won the national championship with Miami in 1987. He later teamed with his college coach, Jimmy Johnson, to win two Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys. Irvin won a third Super Bowl with Dallas, but that was with Barry Switzer as his head coach.

The Hurricanes have begun the season 5-0 and have their alums very excited.
