The NFL has determined whether Tom Brady will be able to broadcast Las Vegas Raiders games for FOX now that he has been confirmed as a minority owner for the team.

In a Thursday conference call, the league said Brady will be permitted to work Raiders games as part of his FOX duties, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk . Brady will still be subject to fairly significant restrictions about attending practices and production meetings, as well as being too blunt in his criticism of other teams and officials.

Brady’s new role as NFL owner does create a fairly notable conflict of interest. He has yet to call a Raiders game and probably won’t be anytime soon, as the team is rarely showcased in FOX’s top Sunday afternoon slot. Still, he is ostensibly rooting for and calling shots for the Raiders while actively getting access and broadcasting games for other teams, some of whom might be their rivals. It is easy to see why some people would have a problem with that, and it would be even stranger if Brady is ostensibly being a neutral broadcaster for a game in which the team he owns is playing.

Brady’s broadcasting role might not be as a big a deal if he had no real role with the Raiders. Recent reports indicate that will not necessarily be the case , however.
