Many New Orleans Saints fans chose not to stick around for the finish of their team’s blowout loss to the Denver Broncos on Thursday night, and Alvin Kamara does not fault them for that.

After the Saints lost 33-10 to the Denver Broncos at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, La., Kamara told reporters there were some “unacceptable things going on” for his team. The most obvious was the way the Saints played, but Kamara also mentioned fans leaving the game early. The star running back says he would have done the same.

“One, our play is unacceptable. And two, the dome being empty or emptying out. I think I saw some fans leaving in the second quarter,” Kamara said. “That’s unacceptable, but I don’t blame the fans. It’s on us, because they come to see us play and perform. When we don’t perform, that’s the results you get.

“But I’ve never experienced that. If I was a fan I’d leave too, because it’s just not good enough right now for whatever reason. We just gotta figure it out.”

The Saints were only down 13-3 for most of the second quarter, and Kamara specifically mentioned how some fans left at that point. It almost seemed like the veteran wanted to call the fans out but thought better of it.

Sean Payton was obviously motivated to beat his former team in his first trip back to New Orleans. The Saints, on the other hand, showed no urgency. It did not help that they were without Derek Carr, Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed, but even Richard Sherman felt the lack of effort from Saints players almost seemed deliberate .

Thursday night games are not the most popular from a fan attendance standpoint anyway, so that was probably another factor in why people headed for the exits early.

that game was heartbreaking.if we have 53 players on team minus the injured and those playing why don't these other players getting a nice check able to take over when someone gets hurt.
