One Texas student on Saturday had a medical emergency during the second half of the Longhorns’ matchup against Georgia at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas.

The student reportedly fell unconscious and had CPR performed on him while in the stands during the third quarter of the Texas-Georgia game. He was later seen being carried away by EMS personnel on a flexible stretcher.

The students who witnessed their schoolmate being carried out of the venue appeared to be in complete shock. The people around him during the emergency reportedly looked panicked, with some in tears.

It remains unclear what triggered the student to fall unconscious during the game.

The Texas-Georgia game was an overall emotional contest for the home-field fans, who were seen throwing dozens of bottles and cans on the field during the third quarter. The Longhorns were dealt their first loss of the season in the 30-15 affair.
