Jameis Winston quotes Eminem after leading Browns to huge win

Jameis Winston quoted a famous rap artist after leading the Cleveland Browns to an upset win on Sunday at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, Ohio.

Winston went 27/41 for 334 yards, 3 touchdowns and no interceptions in Cleveland’s shocking 29-24 win over the Baltimore Ravens. The veteran quarterback was interviewed by CBS sideline reporter Amanda Balionis after the game. Winston thanked his teammates and Browns fans before quoting a line from Eminem’s song “Lose Yourself.”

“Man, it’s a white boy from Detroit that I really admire named Eminem. He said, ‘You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow, this opportunity lasts once in a lifetime.’ I know I gotta quote Eminem,” Winston said. “He from Detroit. He right up the road, but man I’m just grateful. I’m grateful that the Lord provided me with this opportunity. I’m grateful for my teammates, my coaches and these amazing fans.”

Between the Eminem quote, his incredible pregame speech that went viral , and strong play, Winston dominated the spotlight from start to finish on Sunday.

Winston took over as Cleveland’s starter after Deshaun Watson suffered a torn Achilles last week. The 30-year-old threw a 38-yard touchdown pass when the Browns were trailing 24-23 with less than a minute remaining in the hame. While the win was only Cleveland’s second of the season, Winston has given the team life in more ways than one.
