Jayden Daniels has only appeared in eight career NFL games, but the Washington Commanders quarterback experienced a thrill on Sunday that most players can only dream of.

The Commanders beat the Chicago Bears 18-15 at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Md., after Daniels completed a miraculous Hail Mary touchdown pass to Noah Brown as time expired. Washington had 1st-and-10 from their own 48-yard line with time for one final play. Daniels took the snap, ran around for about 15 seconds to buy time, and launched a pass more than 60 yards in the air. The ball came down at around the 3-yard line and bounced off a collection of players and into Brown’s arms.

You have to see it to believe it:

    Here is another angle:

Daniels suffered a painful-looking rib injury in the Commanders’ blowout win over the Carolina Panthers last week. He was questionable all week for Sunday’s game. The rookie played and took a number of big hits, but he finished with 378 total yards from scrimmage and the 52-yard touchdown pass to walk off with the win.

The Bears-Commanders game was one of the most highly anticipated of the year because it featured Daniels, the No. 2 overall pick in the draft, against No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams. Daniels came away with a win and a memory that will probably never be topped.
