Glenwood prepares to transition to new owner
WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) - After seven years under the umbrella of Steward Health Care, Glenwood Regional Medical Center is set to be under new ownership soon. As part of Steward Health Care’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, American Healthcare Systems bid to be the new owner of Glenwood. A hearing is set for July 31, when a judge is expected to certify the order of transition. Then there will be a due diligence period where the necessary documents will be signed, along with a handover period. The transition could be a four-month process after the judge’s approval.
