EL PASO, Texas ( KTSM ) — The New Mexico Department of Health’s (NMHealth) Las Cruces Public Health Office is offering free back-to-school vaccinations.
NMHealth said the vaccinations will be offered on the following dates and times at 1170 N. Solano Dr.:
- Wednesday-Friday, July 17 through 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Monday-Wednesday, July 22 through 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The vaccinations are for all children ages 18 years or younger, regardless if they are a patient or if they have insurance, according to NMHealth in a news release. No appointments are needed.
Parents must bring the child’s shot records and Medicaid or private health insurance card even through the vaccinations are at no cost, NMHealth said.
To get a copy of your child’s vaccination records, visit VaxViewNM.org to download a copy or contact the New Mexico State Immunization Information System Help Desk at 1-833-882-6454 for more assistance.
The immunization help desk is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday and is closed from 12 to 1 p.m., NMHealth said.
According to NMHealth, over 75 community health centers, public health offices and private practices across New Mexico are participating in the “Got Shots?” campaign, aiming to provide free back-to-school vaccines.
