Week 6 High School Roundup: Scores, standings, rankings for every Las Cruces-area team

Here's a recap of all the Las Cruces-area football action from last week, plus additional information on each team's state ranking and district standing:

Las Cruces 55, Organ Mountain 7

Las Cruces (4-2, 2-0 District 3-6A) rolled against Organ Mountain (2-4, 1-1) at the Field of Dreams last Friday. Nate Libby scored three touchdowns for the Bulldawgs, including a kick return for a score to begin the second half. Sophomore running back Jaxon Alba also scored multiple touchdowns, finding the end zone twice for Las Cruces.

Mayfield 27, Deming 29

Mayfield (2-4, 1-2 District 2-5A) fell to Deming (4-2, 1-2) in a close district contest last Saturday. The Trojans played the Wildcats on the road.

Centennial (5-0, 1-0) was idle this week. The Hawks face Alamogordo (1-5, 0-2) at 7 p.m. Thursday on the road.
