Suspect faces drug charges related to alleged road rage shooting, police car chase

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — One of the four people arrested last week in an alleged road rage shooting and police chase that started in California and ended in Nevada has been identified.

Ryan Robinson, 23, faces charges following his arrest after the Friday night incident that began when California Highway Patrol attempted to stop a vehicle allegedly involved in a road rage shooting.

CHP requested help from Nevada State Police and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department when the vehicle fled into Nevada. Police said the vehicle crashed at I-15 and Cactus Avenue but the suspects were all taken into custody when they attempted to run away.

Robinson is charged with possessing a controlled substance and obstructing a public officer. Robinson has open cases in the court system including one from 2023 with felony drug charges, another one for being a prohibited person and possessing a gun, as well as a conviction on a 2021 DUI charge. He remains in custody at the Clark County Detention Center.
