A Miami-born Cuban restaurant is making its way west with a location at Flamingo Las Vegas .

“Havana 1957 is a new chain of Cuban restaurants unlike other traditional Cuban restaurants,” says a post on VegasNearMe.com that shows the restaurant opening at the Flamingo. “It sets itself apart by creating a unique dining experience that allows you to spend Un Dia En La Habana and relive the glory and glamour of old Cuba during the 1950’s. Each of our five restaurants combines the flavors of authentic Cuban cuisine, classic Cuban music and vintage memorabilia bringing Cuban Nostalgia to each neighborhood.”

Behind the brand is V&E Hospitality Group , which also has restaurants like Cafe Americano , Mercato Della Pescheria , and Terraza By Cafe Americano in Las Vegas .

Permitting paperwork submitted recently to Clark County for a “Flamingo Havana Restaurant Buildout” gives a contract valuation of $3,162,069.00 for the project.

Main courses from the restaurant’s Miami menus have included Pechuga de Pollo a La Plancha ( Chicken cutlet marinated, griddled, topped with onions and parsley, served with white rice and black beans ), Camarones Al Ajillo ( Shrimp sautéed in garlic, olive oil and white wine, served with white rice & sweet plantains ), and Masas de Cerdo ( Fried pork with Cuban mojo [Citrus onion sauce], served with your choice of white or moro rice and yucca ).

What Now reached out on Friday to V&E Restaurant Group CEO Matias Pesce to inquire about plans for a Las Vegas Havana 1957 location. Pesce was not immediately available for comment.
