Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - A Las Vegas man who attempted to solicit sex from minors during the weekend of the Super Bowl will serve up to four years in prison, Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford announced Tuesday.

Last week, a judge sentenced 36-year-old Nicholas Hardin to 19 to 48 months in the Nevada Department of Corrections after he pleaded guilty to soliciting a child for prostitution.

Police arrested Hardin as part of an undercover operation during the weekend of Super Bowl LVIII aimed at arresting criminals who sought to solicit sex from minors.

According to the attorney general's office, Hardin solicited an undercover officer who was posing as a child to engage in sex for free.

At the time of his arrest, Hardin was on sex offender probation for a previous conviction for possession of visual presentation depicting sexual conduct of a child.
