Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Representatives from the Culinary Union Local 226 have called for a 48-hour strike against the Virgin Las Vegas hotel.

Virgin is the only hotel that has not struck a new contract deal with the Union

The walkout would mark the first such action taken by the Culinary Union since 2002.

The strike is scheduled to begin on Friday at 5am and last until Sunday morning at 4:59. 700 hospitality workers would take part.

The move marks the first walkout since 2002, when union workers at downtown’s Golden Gate struck for 10 days.
