Triple shooting in the northwest leaves one dead

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – One person was killed, and two others were wounded, after gunfire broke out in a northwest Las Vegas neighborhood on Thursday night

When police responded to the neighborhood near Durango and Elkhorn, they found two men outside suffering from gunshot wounds. Shortly after the men were moved to a safe place, a woman who had also been shot approached law enforcement.

Police quickly determined which house the gunfire came from, and as they converged on the house, the garage door opened and the suspect surrendered without incident.

The three who were shot were all rushed to a nearby hospital. One of the men died. The second man and the woman were said to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe the shooting stemmed from an argument between roommates that quickly escalated from verbal to gunfire.
