Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – April isn’t usually considered a major month for tourists staying and playing in Southern Nevada, but new numbers released on Wednesday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board showed that Clark County casinos did big business for the month.

Nevada casinos took in 1.25 billion in April, up just under 7% from April of 2023.

Most of Clark County did better year to year, with the Strip’s take up 6.6%, and downtown’s up 11%.

The only two Clark County underperformers were North Las Vegas (down just over 3%) and Laughlin (down just under 7%)

For the fiscal year so far (7/1/23-4/30/24, the overall gaming win is up 4.67%

Visitor numbers in April were also strong. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority said that 3.53 million people visited Las Vegas during the month, a number driven by strong convention attendance.

So far vs. 2023, the 2024 visitation numbers are up just over 4%.
