Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – With many parts of southern Nevada under an excessive heat warning until Saturday night, Clark County has extended the hours in which their numerous “cooling station” will be open.

Clark County opened more than two-dozen cooling stations on Wednesday as temperatures soared to around 110 degrees. Las Vegas hit a record high of 111 on Thursday.

Southern Nevada is expected to see a little relief once Sunday arrives, with highs in the 105 degree range, but temps are expected to stay above normal for all of next week.

Not all cooling station locations accept pets. For a complete list of locations, including the ones that do, click here .
