On Tuesday night, Kate Martin and the Las Vegas Aces will host Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever for the second time in the 2024 WNBA season. The Aces took the first match by a final score of 99-80.

In a pregame interview, Martin spoke with CBS14 Iowa reporter Owen Siebring about her popularity in the WNBA, noting that she is surprised by the amount of support she has received from fans.

"I honestly did not expect to have any fans when I came here. I had no expectations in that sort of way and I think fans liked that. I don't really get it, honestly. At the end of the day, I don't get it, but I feel super grateful for it," Martin said.

Martin had low expectations coming into the WNBA. She was selected in the second round of the 2024 draft and instantly earned a role with the reigning champion Aces.

In 15 games this season, Martin is averaging 3.9 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists, helping Las Vegas to a 10-6 record.
