Christie Sides, Fever Make Grave Mistake in Loss to Aces

Despite being one of the hottest teams in the WNBA of late, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever failed to take down one of the league's best teams, the Las Vegas Aces, on Tuesday night. Though the Fever kept the game within reach through the first three quarters, they couldn't hang with Las Vegas in the fourth.

Despite having a poor shooting performance as a team, Indiana elected to not use the player with the highest net and offensive rating on the team, Lexie Hull.

This was a winnable game for the Fever, but they lacked efficiency and production on the offensive end. Choosing to not play Hull for a single minute is a very questionable decision; she can also provide support on the defensive end.

Christie Sides has been taking a great deal of heat for her questionable decision making, and this move certainly doesn't help her case.

The duo of Kelsey Plum and A'ja Wilson was virtually unstoppable, finishing with a combined 62 points and 15 rebounds. However, there wasn't much production elsewhere aside from Jackie Young, who posted 15 points and 10 assists, for the Aces. Had there been more fight offensively from the Fever, this could have been a very close game.
