WNBA Facing Intense Backlash After Unfortunate Aces-Mystics Announcement

Late Thursday night, the red-hot Las Vegas Aces, amid a five-game winning streak, look to add to that total against an underwhelming Washington Mystics team.

WNBA fans were able to watch the game on Amazon Prime, or at least they were supposed to be able to.

Late into the first quarter, the Aces-Mystics broadcast experienced technical difficulties, causing fans to miss around ten real-time minutes of the game. During that time period, some fans encountered an orange screen with the WNBA logo and the phrase "technical difficulties" on Amazon's broadcast.

The WNBA made an official announcement regarding this problem.

"We are currently experiencing technical difficulties with the broadcast of the Las Vegas Aces vs. Washington Mystics game. Please stay tuned for updates."

This issue severely upset fans trying to tune in to the game. What irked them even more was the fact that Amazon Prime was still able to run its advertisements during this issue.

Once the problem was solved, the WNBA made another statement , saying, "WE'RE BACKKKK."

Fans took to social media to blast the WNBA for this problem, which has happened on Amazon Prime in the past.
