Caitlin Clark Sends Simple Message To Kate Martin After WNBA Rematch

WNBA rookies Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin recently went head-to-head for the second matchup of their professional careers. The former Iowa Hawkeyes teammates faced off in Las Vegas for a matchup between the Indiana Fever and Aces.

Following the 88-69 loss for the Fever, Clark sent a message to Martin, via Instagram.

Clark posted a picture of her and Martin in the stadium tunnel, attaching the black heart emoji. The two have shared some heartwarming moments with one another this season, as multiple photos have shown them hugging or smiling in each other's presence.

Martin and Clark played four seasons together in Iowa City, finishing the year as the NCAA championship runner-ups in 2023 and 2024.

The two have been on completely different paths during their time in the WNBA. Clark is the leader a young team that's gone 8-13 this season. The Fever guard is leading all first-year players with 16 points and 7.1 assists per game.

While Clark was drafted with the No. 1 overall pick in 2024, her former teammate was selected in the second round. Martin is averaging 3.4 points and 2.1 rebounds per game for the back-to-back defending champions. The Aces are listed as the No. 5 team in the WNBA with a 12-6 record.

Clark and Martin have been vocal about their tight bond, calling each other their "best friend."
