Amanda Balionis lets loose in Las Vegas as she makes most of time away from golf

CBS Sports reporter Amanda Balionis enjoyed a girl's trip to Las Vegas as she enjoyed some time off before covering The John Deere Classic.

The annual tournament held in Silvis, Illinois the week before The Open Championship started on Thursday, but the CBS coverage doesn't begin until Saturday. Balionis confirmed her attendance for John Deere after the completion of the Rocket Mortgage Classic on Sunday, as she said: "That is a wrap from Detroit with the best traveling circus, see ya in Silvis, Illinois squad!"

With some time off she headed to Las Vegas, and posted several photos of her trip including snaps at a nightclub and even a note from a friend reminding her to "drink water". It appeared she let loose and let her hair down between working commitments.

Balionis shared photos of her attending the On The Record Speakeasy And Club, while also sharing a poem titled 'Enjoy Summer'. Balionis is one of the most recognizable faces in golf broadcasting but has recently seen a surge in popularity after rumors she was dating Rory McIlroy .

It was later reported by US Weekly that their relationship was purely a 'professional working relationship' but the speculation remained until McIlroy salvaged his marriage with Erica Stoll. McIlroy filed for divorce from Stoll, his wife of seven years, on May 13.

In the divorce filings, it was alleged that their marriage was "irretrievably broken" and Stoll was seen out in Florida without a ring on her finger. McIlroy shares a friendly relationship with Balionis both off and on camera, and when the reporter was seen without her wedding ring on fans started speculating.

Balionis is married to former NFL quarterback Bryn Renner , and it has been suggested that they may have parted ways. Due to the timing of both incidents, fans believed a fling between McIlroy and Balionis may be possible, but then the golfer sensationally reversed his decision to divorce Stoll and committed to rebuilding their marriage.

McIlroy slammed the relationship rumors and set the record straight to The Guardian . "There have been rumors about my personal life recently, which is unfortunate," McIlroy said. "Responding to each rumor is a fool’s game.

"Over the past weeks, Erica and I have realized that our best future was as a family together. Thankfully, we have resolved our differences and look forward to a new beginning."
