Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – The National Weather Service has extended an Excessive Heat Warning for Southern Nevada until Friday night at 10.

Clark County's so-called "cooling stations" are schedule to stay open through Wednesday, but it's expected that county officials will keep them open through the duration of the Excessive Heat Warning.

Las Vegas set a record high on Sunday when the temperature hit 120 degrees. No days are forecast to reach quite that level this week, but highs are still expected to top out in the 115-118 degree range.

Not all cooling station locations accept pets, so for a complete list that includes those that do, click here .
