Raiders WR Davante Adams has a message for any player trying to recruit him away from Las Vegas

The Las Vegas Raiders have the best wide receiver of this era on their team in Davante Adams. He may not have been No. 1 last season with all of the issues the team had on offense, but he is consistent, year in and year out, a top-five wide receiver in the league, which is easier said than done, especially when you have been through the change Adams has the last few years.

Nonetheless, he is a guy who will one day wear a gold jacket. He's the best of the best, and a guy everyone wants on their team. But, that's just the thing: everyone wants him, but not everyone can have him.

The Las Vegas Raiders did not bring back one of the best running backs in the league in Josh Jacobs this offseason after giving him a one-year deal last offseason. We knew he wanted to be back because that's what he said. But, when it didn't happen, it's what he didn't do that pissed the fan base off.

Jacobs, who spent six years with the Raiders and is pretty high up on the franchise's all-time list of rushers, did not say goodbye to the team or the fan base on social media. That may not seem like a big deal today, but it is for the fans.

Jacobs then signed with the Green Bay Packers and has since had a few Twitter exchanges with Raiders fans and content creators. The fans have since dubbed that Jacobs is now just trying to make the Raiders' fan base mad. Well, that's how the fan base feels about it.

He has since reached out to Davante Adams to try and recruit him to the Packers, where he once played. He sent some emojis over text and made a big ordeal about it all. And now Adams has responded.

"Yeah, he did send that [text] over," Davante Adams said. "Josh [Jacobs] is one of my best friends, and first of all, people don't know how funny he is. It was definitely a joke, but it was one of those jokes where he was serious. I told him, 'You go ahead and hold it down in (Green Bay), and I'm going to hold it down over here. I don't think I'll be coming back over there. You never know what can happen, they could ship me off, and there's not much I could do about it, but, you know, I'm a Raider."

With all of the rumors that have been swirling the last year of Adams leaving or wanting out, this is great to hear. You have players recruiting him - former teammates at that - to his former team, and he still says no. What does that say about how he feels about the Raiders?
