While it’s an amibitious endeavor overall, Noche UFC will likely have less fights than the promotion’s typical pay-per-view offerings.

During an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show’ on Monday, UFC CEO Dana White provided additional details regarding the organization’s highly-anticipated event at The Sphere in Las Vegas on Sept. 14. That included the number of fights for the card.

“We’re going to do 10 (fights),” White said. “There will be a main, co-main, and obviously this card will be very Mexican-heavy.”

As it stands, six fights have been reported for UFC 306 , but a headliner has not been announced. According to a report from Ariel Helwani, the plan is for a bantamweight title clash between Sean O'Malley and Merab Dvalishvili to serve as the main event, while Alexa Grasso will defend her strawweight belt in the co-headliner, potentially against “TUF 32” opposing coach
Valentina Shevchenko in a trilogy. However, nothing is official at this point in time.

Much of the intrigue surrounding the event is due to the unique nature of the venue. The Sphere includes a 160,000 square foot LED media plane and can seat more than 17,000 people. The Sphere also includes suites and other premium seating designed to maximize the experience. During the show, White and McAfee discussed their visit to the venue during a U2 concert, and the UFC boss shared how seating would be arranged for the fight card.

“You’re going to have people that are in the seats, the people that are in the suites, and then the bottom level where people are actually standing and will watch the whole thing standing room only,” White said. “Then there will be bleachers and seats.”

The promotion has already invested a significant amount into the event, and White hinted that there could be more to come in that regard.

“I’m already $17 million into this thing, and we’re not anywhere near September yet,” White said. “… I’m going in one night, one time and that’s it — never again. That’s why I keep telling you guys: It’s gonna be the most unique, badass, incredible show you’ve ever seen in sports.”
