Due to overwhelming demand, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers have added another four shows to their ‘Eagles — Live In Concert at Sphere’ residency in Las Vegas.
As of now, the “Take It Easy” group has 20 concerts lined up at Sphere from September 2024 through January 2025; their newly announced concert dates will take place on Jan. 17-18 and Jan. 24-25.
At all gigs, fans can expect “‘the ultimate connection’ to the group’s iconic catalog — including their acclaimed 1976 ‘Hotel California’ album — with an ‘immersive’ live experience,” according to a press release.
What might be most impressive of all though is just how much fans want to see Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Deacon Frey and the band perform their timeless hits in Sin City. When the residency was originally announced in mid-June, it was supposed to be for just eight shows in September and October.
Since then, ‘Eagles — Live In Concert at Sphere’ has been extended not one, not two but three (!) times.
And, if you want to be there to hear “Life In The Fast Lane,” “Desperado,” “Witchy Woman,” “Tequila Sunrise,” “Take It To The Limit” and so many more classics live along with Sphere’s stunning visuals, tickets are available for all shows.
When The Eagles aren’t literally lighting up the stage at the Sphere, you can catch Academy Award-nominated director Darren Aronofsky’s immersive film “Postcard From Earth” on most nights.
Also, from now through Aug. 10, fellow Rock Hall of Famers Dead and Company have 12 shows scheduled at the visually spectacular venue.
If you’re planning a Las Vegas trip, you can find a complete calendar of all events at the one-of-a-kind Sphere here .
The Eagles concert review
According to Variety , The Eagles’ live show “easily competes with the likes of Taylor Swift and Beyoncé for tour of the year.”
For more about Deacon Frey, Joe Walsh, Don Henley, Vince Gill, and what covers the band worked into their MSG concert, you can read their thorough review from September 2023 here .
When you’ve been living life in the fast lane since 1971 (!), a bit of shuffling when it comes to your group’s lineup is to be expected.
Still, to this day, 76-year-old, founding member Don Henley (drums, vocals, also known for the ’80s smash “Boys of Summer), continues to tour with the group.
On the road, he’ll be joined by 76-year-old Joe Walsh (also of the James Gang), 76-year-old Timothy B. Schmit (bassist and vocalist, played with Poco), 22-time Grammy winner 67-year-old Vince Gill and the late Glenn Frey’s 31-year-old son Deacon.
Over the course of their illustrious career, the band has racked up six Grammy awards, performed over 1,000 concerts, and sold 150 million-plus albums.
The Eagles set list
On their farewell tour, The Eagles stuck to a pretty strict set list.
While we can’t confirm what they’ll take to the Sphere stage, here’s what they played last year, based on our findings at Set List FM .
