Viral Video Shows Angel Reese One-Upping Caitlin Clark With Half-Court Shot at All-Star Practice

She may have been a bit late arriving, but Angel Reese has already made a big impression at WNBA All-Star weekend.

Reese skipped out on Thursday's Orange Carpet event as she stayed back in Las Vegas to support the NBA Summer League, then scored a viral moment at Friday's practice. After Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark missed on a half-court attempt during the afternoon practice, Reese stepped up and nailed one of her own.

WNBA shared a video of Reese's big shot, noting that she earned a bit of bank from her coach for the big make.

"Anything for the Barbie they say," the post read . "Angel Reese came into town for @att WNBA ALL-STAR WEEKEND about that action, knockin’ down the half court shot for the bread Arike Ogunbowale also cashed in from half court so coach hooked both of em up"

Clark and Reese, who had two memorable NCAA Tournament showdowns before joining rival WNBA teams this season, will have their first chance to play together this weekend.

Clark said she was excited for the chance to play with her rival, saying it's good for the league to have them both on the same team. She also shared a prediction for Reese's statistical impact on the game.

"She's certainly, probably going to lead the game in rebounds. I expect that out of her. That's just what she does."
