Virna Jandiroba passed her first main event test with flying colors.

The former Invicta Fighting Championships champ secured her fourth straight victory in the UFC on ESPN 60 headliner, as she submitted former strawweight title challenger Amanda Lemos with an armbar 4:48 into Round 2 on Saturday night at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. With that, Jandiroba staked her claim to a potential title shot against reigning 115-pound champ Weili Zhang sometime in the near future.

Lemos, meanwhile, did not attempt a takedown and logged just 51 seconds of control time.

13: Career submission attempts for Jandiroba in UFC competition. That’s the second most in strawweight history behind only Mackenzie Dern (15).

3: UFC victories by way of submission for Jandiroba, tying her with the likes of Rose Namajunas , Tatiana Suarez , Cynthia Calvillo and Polyana Viana for second-most in strawweight history. Dern is No. 1 with four.

4: Straight KO/TKO victories for Steve Garcia , the longest active knockout streak in the UFC regardless of weight class. “The Mean Machine” vanquished Seung Woo Choi 1:36 into the opening round of their featherweight co-main event.

6: Knockdowns landed by Garcia during his finishing streak. That figure is tied with several others — including Conor McGregor — for the sixth most in UFC featherweight history.

286: Combined total strikes for Kurt Holobaugh (171) and Kaynan Kruschewsky (115) in their lightweight encounter. Holobaugh, who also held a 92-to-89 advantage in significant strikes landed, won the bout via unanimous decision.

4: Consecutive finishes for Bruno Silva . That’s tied for the fourth-longest active finishing streak in the UFC behind Shavkat Rakhmonov (six), Joanderson Brito (five) and Carlos Ulberg (five). Silva rallied for a second-round technical knockout of Cody Durden in their flyweight bout. Silva’s four straight wins are also tied with Amir Albazi and Manel Kape for the fourth-longest active winning streak in the flyweight division.

2,934: Days since Doo Ho Choi ’s last victory, a first-round knockout of Thiago Tavares at “The Ultimate Fighter 23” finale on July 8, 2016. “The Korean Superboy” returned to the win column with a second-round stoppage of Bill Algeo in their featherweight matchup at UFC on ESPN 60.

3: Submission attempts for Choi. In his previous seven UFC outings, Choi did not attempt a single submission.

42: Significant strikes landed by Hyder Amil in just 65 seconds against Jeong Yeong Lee in their featured featherweight bout. Amil’s non-stop barrage brought an end to the contest in short order, giving “The Hurricane” his 10th professional triumph in as many outings.

.660: Significant striking accuracy for Amil during that offensive outburst. The El Nino Training Center product landed 42 of 63 attempts in the abbreviated bout.

4: Consecutive losses inside of a round for Brian Kelleher , who succumbed to an arm-triangle from Cody Gibson 3:58 into the opening stanza of their bantamweight clash. “Boom” has also been finished by Cody Garbrandt , Mario Bautista and Umar Nurmagomedov during his current skid.

39:36: Career control time for Miranda Maverick , who earned a unanimous decision triumph against Dione Barbosa in a preliminary flyweight bout. Maverick logged 8:07 of control time on Saturday night to move No. 6 six all-time at 125 pounds in that category.

4: Takedowns landed in five attempts for Trey Ogden in a three-round verdict over Loik Radzhabov at lightweight. Ogen also logged 9:47 of control time to offset a 42-to-24 significant striking deficit in the fight.

10: Takedowns landed by Ogden in his last three appearances, a stretch where the Marathon MMA founder is 2-0 with one no contest. Ogden landed just two takedowns in his first three UFC bouts while posting a 1-2 mark.

1,638: Days since Lucie Pudilova ’s last flyweight appearance, a unanimous decision loss to Justine Kish at UFC Fight Night 166 on Jan. 25, 2020. Pudilova was also unsuccessful in her return to 125 pounds, dropping a three-round verdict to Luana Carolina in a preliminary bout on Saturday.

51: Significant strikes by which Carolina outlanded Pudilova. This included a 33-to-6 edge in Round 1 and a 37-to-15 advantage in Round 3.
