    Stefanie Rauch

    Age : 44

Occupation : Current LaSalle Township Treasurer

Spouse/kids : Husband, Kurt Rauch of 20 years, children Madison (17) and Jackson (16)

Government experience : Six years as an election inspector; four years as Deputy Clerk in Ida Township; two years on LaSalle Township Board of Review; two years (current) as LaSalle Township Treasurer.

Volunteer/community service experience : Ida PTA (President), classroom volunteer, Young Life Committee, Girls on the Run (coach)

Why are you running for this position? I was sought by the board due to my township government experience and involvement at LaSalle Township. My organizational and leadership skills, combined with my commitment to fiscal responsibility are being well utilized. I am confident that I continue to be the best person to serve the residents of LaSalle.

What do you think is the main challenge facing Frenchtown Township, and what should be done about it? The primary challenge facing LaSalle Township is ensuring that decisions and control remain local. I also believe that our greatest responsibility to the community is twofold: maintaining and fostering the growth of our volunteer fire department and ensuring the upkeep of our local roads. It is essential that we monitor state legislation and available grants while optimizing our resources.

Why should people vote for you? Since becoming treasurer, I have actively reallocated Township funds from stagnant accounts to high-interest bearing accounts, optimizing our financial resources. Additionally, I have been an engaged board member, always listening to the needs and concerns of our residents. Your vote will allow me to continue my commitment to responsible financial management and dedicated service to our community.
