ROSWELL, GA — The Butterfly Encounter Program is an annual exhibit held by Chattahoochee Nature Center or CNC. This year marks the seventh time of this program.

Open daily from June 7 to August 8, this exhibit will give you the opportunity to see hundreds of native butterflies. The nectar sticks to draw the butterfly’s attention will be provided, but you can also bring your own stick. If you want to make your own butterfly garden, CNC also has nectar and host plants available to purchase.

It is recommended to purchase the tickets in advance to book the date and time of your visit. Since the spots are timed and limited, especially with the capacity reducing following the social distancing protocols, CNC couldn’t ensure the availability of tickets to purchase on-site.

The entrance fee is vary depending on your age, with an exception for CNC members who can get in for free. Members can also make an advance reservation. Please note that the tickets are valid only for the date and time selected and can’t be refunded, exchanged, or transferred.

It is also recommended to check out their website first because the premise may close temporarily due to the inclement weather.

To make it more interesting, CNC has a weekly photo contest for participants. Bring your camera, catch the beauty of butterflies and post it on your Instagram. Don’t forget to follow and tag CNC so it will be counted as submitted entries.

Will be selected each week, the winner will get two tickets to CNC. Check this out to get more information.
