All the upcoming events this July at Arabia Mountain, Stonecrest

ATLANTA, GA — July is almost over, but Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area still has many great activities for you and your family.

Enjoy the peak of summer while soaking in the fresh mountain air and experience what nature has got to offer with the following activities.

1. Basic Archery | July 24 & 25
   Want to release your inner archer or hone your skills? Try the basic archery class. There are two available sessions, 1 pm and 2:30 p.m. Each session will last for an hour.

Registration is required. Please specify the session you would like to attend in your registration. A session costs $15 plus $5 parking. All equipment is provided. Eight years old and older only.

2. Aware Tour | July 24, 25 and 31

Meet and hear stories from permanent resident ambassador animals. In this free 30-minute tour, you will learn how to coexist with wildlife peacefully. The tour is held from 1 to 2 p.m.

3. Sunset Mountain Hike | July 24

Hike the Sunset Mountain and enjoy the sunset over Atlanta. Registration by phone is required since space is limited. The hike starts at 7:15 p.m. and ends at 9:15 p.m.

Joining costs $15 plus $5 parking. A refund will be issued if the weather is inclement. Ten years and older only.

The price for joining this activity is $15 plus $5 parking. If the activity is canceled due to weather inclement, you may refund your payment.

4. World Ranger Day: Wilderness Survival | July 31

This free event is held in celebration of World Ranger Day. You will learn how to avoid getting lost in the woods and what you should do if you are lost. Essential items to bring on a hike will also be discussed. The talks start at 10 a.m. and end at 11 a.m.
