Dress up your pet and win a prize at Doggy Con 2021

ATLANTA, GA — Woodruff Park presents Doggy Con at Woodruff Park next Saturday. There will be a pet costume pageant, vendors, face painting, and a green screen photo booth. The attending food vendors are Refuge Coffee, The Cereal Lab, and Mocha Pops. The event is held on August 28 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at 91 Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30303.

The pageant will be lead by Mara Davis of the local media and be judged by four judges. Amir Farokhi of the Atlanta City Council and local artist Catlanta aka Rory Hawkins will judge the show. Costume designer & cosplayer Yaya Han and dog influencer Super Murph the French Bulldog will also attend and judge.

The prize for the pet costume pageant is totaled over $1000. The winners of the pageant will win Dragon Con’s 5-day membership and gift baskets from The Whole Dog Market. Winners are picked through the six categories of best in show, best doggy/human dynamic duo, best character cosplay, biggest “aww” factor, best small but mighty pup, and best big buddy.

Interested pageant participants may register until August 26 for $20. On-site registration will cost more at $25. Those who just want to watch but not participate in the contest may come for free but will still need a ticket. Find the pageant and admission ticket here.
