ELEVATE Atlanta Art Festival 2021 is coming on September 10

ATLANTA, GA — ELEVATE Atlanta Art Festival 2021—ELEVATE 2021: REOPEN, REIGNITE & RECONNECT—will be held from September 10 through October 2021. This festival will help activate communities across Atlanta with various art and cultural activities.

To support its mission, this festival also builds partnerships with museums, art galleries, performance venues, shops, theaters, restaurants, libraries, and other institutions.

According to an explanation given by Camille Russel Love, Executive Director of the City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, this festival is not only talking about art. They do highlight the works of local artists, but this year, they have a bigger mission, which is to support local businesses and cultural community back in business as they safely REOPEN, REIGNITE & RECONNECT.

As this festival is a program of the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs of the City of Atlanta, its mission is in line with their vision of uplifting the quality of life through arts and culture while eventually also giving positive contributions to the social and economic health of Atlanta and the region.

ELEVATE Atlanta Art Festival 2021 curator Charmaine Minniefield, who is also an artist and activist, said the world has been forced to pause in 2020. We have seen great losses, but at the same time, we also have been allowed to vision what we want for the future. Now is the time for us to start making our new world together.

Started with the return of the Atlanta Jazz Festival on Labor Day Weekend, this festival will take place every weekend until October 2021. All events will give Atlanta neighborhoods the opportunity to enjoy art, music, film, dance, and more!
