4 Primary Structures Destroyed In Texas Ridge Fire Near Kendrick
UPDATE: An additional structure has been lost, bringing the total to four. The Texas Ridge Fire East of Kendrick has destroyed four primary structures. An Idaho Department of Lands spokesman was unable to provide any more details about the structures that were destroyed. The fire has burned about 1,500 acres. The cause of the fire is undetermined.
Lewiston Roundup taking animals in need of refuge from Texas Fire
LEWISTON, Idaho – Lewiston Roundup is providing temporary housing for animals affected by the Texas Fire in Latah County. They posted on Facebook that owners can bring their animals that need a safe place to stay. Owners are responsible for identifying their animals by using photos of them and providing contact information.
Texas Fire burning in Kendrick remains uncontained
KENDRICK, Idaho — The Texas Fire in Latah County has caused evacuation orders and threatened structures across more than 1300 acres with no containment progress made. Update July 18 at 11 a.m. - The Latah County Sheriff's Office provided an update stating that now over 1,500 acres are burning with no progress on containment.

The Cougar Creek fire near Grande Ronde River in Asotin County has increased to an estimated 520 acres, according to the National Interagency Fire Center.
Texas Ridge Fire grows to 1,200 acres: evacuations remain in place
The Texas Ridge Fire north and east of Kendrick has grown to 1,200 acres and evacuations remain in place, according to a news release from the Idaho Department of Lands. The Fire is burning in the Cedar and Texas Ridge areas. The Latah County Sheriff’s Office has issued Level 3, 2 and 1 evacuation notices. Level 3 means go now. KENDRICK — Four structures and more than 1,300 acres have been burned by the Texas Fire, which continues to be active northeast of Kendrick in Latah County. Certain areas were put on a Level 3 evacuation, which means leave right now, while some spots, including the city of Kendrick, were in Level 2 (be ready to leave at a moment’s notice), and other areas were in Level 1 (be ready).

Kendrick, idaho (KLEW) — Update: KENDRICK, ID – The Texas Fire near Kendrick began yesterday afternoon and it's still ongoing. As of 4:30pm, the fire has grown to 1,323 acres. The fire is still zero percent contained and four primary structures are at a total loss, causing several evacuations in the area.

Date of Origin: Monday, July 15, 2024, approx. 4:00 PM PT. Areas on Cedar Ridge, Texas Ridge, Linden, all the way down Highway 3 and across the river have been advised to evacuate and/or have been evacuated. P1 and Texas Ridge is closed. Fifty to sixty structures remain threatened. Evacuations are being handled by the Latah County Sheriff’s office with the assistance of Latah County Emergency Management.
