Woman Injured In Stabbing Attack In Albany
The attack happened in Albany’s Arbor Hill neighborhood, on North Pearl Street near Wilson Street, at around 5:40 p.m. Monday, July 22. Albany Police said officers arrived to find a 46-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds to her arm and leg. She was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital where she remains in stable condition.

In the overnight hours, a threatening email was sent to numerous UAlbany email addresses and flagged as a potential cybersecurity threat. While the email threatens that explosive devices were planted at various locations and states that the actor is still on campus, the University Police Department has no information to suggest that any aspect of the message is credible. Nevertheless, UPD continues to actively investigate with assistance from state and federal partners, and as an added level of security, UPD has increased their presence at strategic locations throughout campus to provide additional visibility and peace of mind.
