Man claims bizarre attack at Chillicothe Salvation Army, charged with vandalism
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A bizarre incident at the Salvation Army on North Bridge Street led to the destruction of the front door and a criminal mischief charge for a local man. On August 11, 2024, officers were dispatched to the Salvation Army at 1419 N. Bridge Street after reports of a damaged front door. Upon arrival, officers discovered the door on the north side of the building had been shattered, with a trash can lying on its side in front of the entrance. The building was cleared, revealing no one inside and no signs of further damage, though the cash register was found open and empty.
