Greenfield woman sentenced to community control
A Greenfield woman sentenced to three years of community control on multiple counts of meth trafficking was among two people sentenced in Highland County Common Pleas Court. Johnda Smith, 48, was sentenced on two counts of aggravated trafficking in methamphetamine, the first count being a fourth-degree felony and the second count being a third-degree felony.
Otway woman charged with numerous drug offenses, including meth
BEAUFORT — Deputies with the Carteret County Sheriff’s Office arrested Angela Lynn Simmons, 50, of Otway on Aug. 9 after she was charged with numerous drug offenses. The arrest was pursuant to a month-long investigation led by detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division resulting from an apparent overdose death that occurred on June 30. Carteret County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit Detectives aided in this investigation.
