New Jazz and Cocktail Bar Hiyde to Open in Lauderhill

A new jazz bar and cocktail hideaway is working toward an opening in Lauderhill . Hiyde , a new cocktail bar offering a place to “ Come HIŶDE away in an oasis of artistic thrills, Jazz, R&B, Poetry & More! ” will open at 1828 NW 38th Avenue .

“We wanted to do something original,” Tory , who owns Hiyde, told What Now on Thursday. “It’s not going to be extremely loud. We want it to be a place where people can come and relax: not something with a lot of hype. Something that’s comfortable.”

The Hiyde space will feature lounge-style seating and a relaxed atmosphere. The food and drink focus will be on cocktails, and there will also be a selection of small bites. It will be a venue for a variety of live music and other performances, with a particular focus on supporting local artists.

“We’re making it as homey as possible,” Tory said. “We’ll try to provide a place where local artists will be able to find an audience.”
