DELAWARE – The second annual Community Unite Day is set to take place this Saturday, July 20 in Seaford, Delaware. The Community Unite Day was originally started by Meshell Applewhite. The death of her son led her to want to help people in pain everywhere. She told reporters that House for Pride- an organization that helps feed the homeless, is collaborating with Community Unite to help host the event. She says even though in her own personal life, she is currently still in need, she says helping others and putting similes on children’s faces makes her struggles not seem so bad.
