ECU Health Medical Center Electrophysiology Lab is the first hospital lab in North Carolina to earn accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in cardiac electrophysiology in the areas of testing and ablation, device implantation and left atrial appendage occlusion, ECU Health announced. 1 sickened in NC, dozens fall ill from listeria possibly linked to deli meat in multiple states
One person from North Carolina is sick in a multi-state Listeria outbreak possibly connected to deli meat, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Friday.The CDC said many people in the outbreak reported eating meat sliced at deli counters prior to getting sick. Twenty-eight people have been infected in 12 states, including North Carolina. All were hospitalized.One person died in Illinois and one died in New Jersey.The CDC said most people who became ill ate deli-sliced turkey and liverwurst from supermarkets and grocery store delis.The agency could not yet pinpoint which meat was the source of the outbreak.SEE ALSO:...
