Oelwein couple seriously injured when three-wheeled motorcycle hit by car head-on
POSTVILLE, Iowa — An Oelwein couple is hospitalized after the three-wheeled motorbike they were riding was hit head-on by a car. It happened around 4:15pm Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Highways 18 and 52 west of Postville. The Alllamakee County Sheriff's Office says 31-yaer-old Mitchell Meyer of Dorchester swerved out of his lane to avoid a vehicle that had stopped to make a turn. A top class of 2026 offensive lineman has cut his list of finalists, and Nebraska made the list. Jackson Cantwell is a five-star offensive tackle for Nixa High School in Nixa, Missouri. Huskers projected to land four-star defensive lineman
The Nebraska Cornhuskers have been projected to land a four-star prospect and class of 2025 recruit. Kade Pietrzak is a defensive lineman for Sheyenne High School in West Fargo, ND. Pietrzak is currently ranked as the No. 1 prospect in the state of North Dakota for the 2025 recruiting cycle. Bryan Munson of the On3 Network has projected an expert prediction for the Husker to receive Pietzak’s commitment. Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Kansas State are believed to be in the running. The Huskers class of 2025 holds 16 commitments and is ranked No. 28 nationwide. The Cornhuskers have also been making a series of offers to 2026 recruits but have not received any commitment. No timetable has been announced for when Kade Pietrzak will announce his decision. 35th anniversary of Flight 232 crash marked
Sioux City, Iowa-Friday, July 19th, was the 35th anniversary of the crash of United Flight 232 at the Sioux Gateway Airport. The Mid American Museum of Aviation and Transportation held an open house to remember the 112 who died in the crash, the 180 who survived, and the first responders and community members who aided them. Museum board member Pam Mickelson said the open house began at 10 a.m. and had activities throughout the day.
