Bicyclists get city-owned option for overnight stay. Bicyclists through Ash Grove will soon have another overnight option in the town’s Carriage House, located on Main Street downtown. After some concern regarding overnighters at the Ash Grove City Park, the city undertook the remodel of the old building which will soon be available for overnight stay with a price to still be determined. By the end of this week, interior construction—which includes six beds, a bathroom, shower and air conditioning—should be complete.

A Monett man who killed his father by shooting him 19 times in the chest was convicted of first-degree murder and armed criminal action on Wednesday, July 31.
