Being bold enough to be unique and explore the unpredictable is what sets people apart from being stuck in the norm.

A family of siblings set out on an adventure so unique they had no idea how great the final result would actually become.

The Bins of Lava Hot Springs Airbnbs are owned and designed by the Wixom family of Blackfoot. The ownership group includes the Wixom siblings and their spouses: Adam and Lindi Wixom, Wes and Ashlee Wixom, Kay and Lapriel Wixom, and Lane and Annie Lambert.

In 2019, the Wixoms set out to create an Airbnb so different from the norm they started their design with old grain silos.

Their idea was so exclusively different they struggled to find an engineer, architect or even a bank to entertain the idea of discussing the project with them.

Thank goodness for exceptional friends and family who had the know-how and faith in the Wixoms' idea to help turn the Bins of Lava Hot Springs Airbnb dream into a reality.

The Wixom family took to Instagram at SiloSolutionsIdaho to share their building process from the beginning.

The page gained attention and interest as many wondered how silo bins would come together to become beautiful living spaces.

The end result of the work by the Wixoms and their family and friends is a set of three silo bins situated together to form one of the trendiest Airbnbs nestled in the countryside of Lava Hot Springs.

There are two smaller Airbnb units with a larger three-bedroom family unit centering the beautiful design.

Despite the outward appearance of being a one-building design, no bin is attached to another and with the well thought out nine-inches of insulated construction it ensures complete privacy between the three units.

Each bin is beautifully decorated to reflect specific clean design cultures ranging from Southern charm to classy Western themes.

One would think the circular architecture would inhibit space and design layout within the silos. But the Wixom family rewrote the book of home design with such uniqueness you forget you’re standing in a refurbished piece of farm storage.

Just like with any new business, the Wixoms are learning as they go and finding things to improve and add to their adventure.

They proved to many that being different was the road to success.

Airbnbs have become popular vacation stays due to providing a more “local” experience, privacy and cost savings.

The Bins have an extra advantage providing an unforgettable experience where country meets luxury in a quiet mountain town which is quite unique itself with natural spring hot pools and charm.

Booking a stay will ensure memories to last a lifetime without sacrificing comfort or class while escaping to a serene mountain getaway.
