Push continues to build sewer, cut septic for Big Sky canyon properties
Gallatin Canyon sewer project appears feasible, must scale funding and earn DEQ permit. If things go according to plan for the nascent Gallatin Canyon County Water and Sewer District, a significant share of Big Sky properties along U.S. Highway 191 near the Gallatin River will disconnect from existing septic systems and connect to a centralized sewer.

Single-car crash leads to 41-year-old woman's death over a week later near Cushman
CUSHMAN, Mont. - A 41-year-old woman from Harlowton succumbed to her injuries in the hospital following a crash on Highway 12 just after 10 p.m. on July 7. According to a release from MHP, the roads were clear and dry when the woman driving a Chevrolet Cruze was headed west on Highway 12 when she failed to negotiate a curve and continued on straight. The vehicle went off the road and down an embankment until it hit the side of a culvert.

BILLINGS — Bozeman natives stole the show during the Montana Mile in the Opening Ceremonies of the Big Sky State Games on Friday night at Daylis Stadium in Billings.
